TB-500
£110.00
Research-grade peptide for laboratory use only. Sold strictly for research and not for human or animal consumption.
Description
TB-500 is a synthetic peptide based on the active region of thymosin beta-4, a 43-residue actin-binding protein that occurs widely across mammalian tissues. The TB-500 fragment captures the section of the parent protein responsible for its principal molecular activity, providing researchers with a defined, reproducible reagent for use in actin-binding and cell-motility experiments.
In biochemical and cellular work, TB-500 has been examined for its effects on G-actin sequestration, actin polymerisation kinetics, and the regulation of cytoskeletal remodelling processes that underlie cell shape change and migration. The peptide has also been used in comparative studies of thymosin-related fragments to define sequence-activity relationships.
Research applications include in-vitro actin polymerisation assays, scratch-wound and trans-well migration models, ex-vivo studies of cytoskeletal regulation in primary cells, and combination work with growth factor or signalling-pathway inhibitors to characterise upstream and downstream interactions.
Supplied as a lyophilised peptide for laboratory and research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Purchasers must be 18 or older.
